Kadie's 3rd Birthday Party Dinner

As a family tradition we always have a birthday dinner. We chose La Paloma for Kadies place to eat and since we had already had her party with her friends this was only family. We had dinner, opened presents and had cake. She was exstatic to open all of her presents, this age is my favorite (when they understand the concept of gifts) she tore threw them like it was Christmas morning!

Fun Mountain Memories

September 4,2010

We had not been to Grandma Rita's cabin in a long time (many years) in fact. The Alders were camping for the weekend and our kids have the best time playing so we decided to go up for the day and make a few memories. We hiked to the old saw mill and stopped a few times to let the kids do a little fishing. They caught a few fish which made their day. On our hike the kids noticed that there were rasberries on some of the plants. This created a fun game of picking rasberries to eat them. On our hike back to the cabin the older kids were awsome and never complained. The parents, well that was a different story! I always forget how steep the hike back is. Thank goodness for the men who carried most of the little ones back because they were all so tired and worn out. It was a fun filled day with great company!

SIBILING LOVE

It melts my heart how sweet my boys are to Kadie. I hoped when I was pregnant with my first girl that my boys would be protective and loving. It amazes me on a daily basis how they interact with her.

They can be so mad at her (because she got into their things) and the next minute be so loving.

Kadies cry brings all boys running to see what happened to her.

Three boys doating over her is how she learned very quickly that she can get what she wants from one of them...she keeps trying going from one to another until at last she has whatever it is she wanted!

Having three brothers she will hopefully never date and be well protected.......ok maybe that's a stretch.
Well maybe never, but hopefully boys will be less inclined to break her heart.

This picture of her and Gavin is just what I always see. She snuggles up to them and will watch whatever it is they are doing.

I love it when she randomly tells Bailey "I love you Bailey". He watches her and seems to be the most protective of her. I think this is why she has this special bond with him and adores him. Every morning they are all instructed to give her a hug and a kiss before getting out of the car to go to school. If they try to escape she screams "MY HUG AND KISS BOYS"!

With Gavin he plays anything sports related with her. This is just Gavin and this is just what he does. She will
wrangle him to play dollies every once in a while but that's a rare occasion. He will play kitchen with her but I think he secretly still loves it from when he was young. He loved playing kitchen it was his favorite thing besides sponge bob.

Ayden gets to spend the most time with her and they have an on again off again relationship. One day they will play cars, dolls, kitchen or just about anything. The next day I think wow they are going to kill each other! She is his favorite play buddie and he hers but just because she plays anything he wants. They have mastered the skill of antagonizing each other. I actually think they look forward to it on a daily basis! Now that Ayden started kindergarten this month she seems a little lost and sad without him. She has been really clingy to me and I think it's because she misses Ayden :(

Kadie always thinks of her brothers anytime she is given anything from someone, she always says "I need one for Bailey ,Gavin, and Ayden too". I love how she thinks to ask for them and never forgets about them.

What a lucky girl she is to have awesome brothers who love her so dearly and protect her, and how lucky these boys are to have Kadie who teaches them about the love of a sister.

To dance or not to dance?

Kadie wanted to dance so we signed her up and last week was her first time. Unfortunatly she cried the first 30 min and so we left . She wouldn't leave my side. I decided that if she cried this week then she wasn't ready to be in dance yet. Sure enough she actually started to cry as soon as I told her that we were going to get in the car to go. Well that decided it for me shes just not ready maybe next year! She did look super cute in her dance outfit the first day!!

Kadie's 3rd Birthday

For her 3rd Birthday she wanted a princess party. So that is what she got especially since she is the princess in our family. She has her daddy wraped around her finger so she get petty much what ever she wants. One night she came into our room and wanted to sleep with us and daddy let her in with her sad face. I asked her do you have your daddy wrapped around your finger. She replied "yes, I do" it was the sweetest thing and she melted his heart right then and there. Kadie wanted a dollie cake so I decided once again to make her cake. It turned out really good she was very happy when she awoke from her nap! All the little girls wore their favorite princess costumes and they all dressed up with tiaras, rings, bracelets, and lip gloss. When it came time to open presents she couldn't wait. I have never heard so much screaming and excitement at a birthday party. She couldn't get them open fast enough and every girl there was screaming with delight over every new gift! The party was a hit, we have one happy 3 year old!!

With his eyes filled with excitement.......

I took my kids fishing at Dankworth pond and both Ayden and Bailey caught a fish! Bailey has caught quite a few before but for Ayden this was his first. The look in his face was so cute. He jumped up and down screaming "I caught a fish I caught a fish". I took eight kids with me so it was quite the adventure. I made Bailey's friend Brennon hold the fish so I could pull it's hook out of it's mouth. The last time this happened I screamed every time it moved and this time was no different. Poor Brennon got cut by its fin cause I made him hold it I felt really bad. All of the little kids kept saying "It's bleeding poor thing" they were all amazed that a fish could bleed. It is so interesting how compassionate kids are toward animals. They felt really bad for this fish and on two different occasions two different kids said "I feel really bad for the worms cause they gotta die too".  It about broke my heart! It was an awesome day even in 104 degree weather ;-)
