The Tuscon Zoo

The Tucson zoo is my absolute favorite zoo to visit! It is small enough that little kids can enjoy it and not get to tired. The flamingos are kadies favorite animals, she always says "this is how a flamingo stands" she stands with one leg up and one leg down just like a flamingo does. This time she also really enjoyed the snake exhibit. She couldn't pull herself away from the boa that was there to pet. The boys enjoyed the caymen and the ant eater. Most of the big animals were hiding but we got to enjoy all the little ones this time.

Kadies first broken nose

So Kadie seems to be the one child that always gets hurt in our family. I think it's because she is the only girl and has to fight for what she wants. Trying to get away with what ever she took from one of her brothers she doesn't pay attention to where shes going and she thinks shes invinceable at this age. Well she was at grandmas while I was out to dinner with a friend. She loves to swing on her belly and before Mary knew it Kadie had slid off the swing face first and her hands didn't catch her it was her nose. She landed nose first and then to top it all of the swing came back and hit her in the head :(. Mary put her in the bath to clean her up and noticed that it wasn't getting better so she called me right away. When I got there she was still screaming histerically and her little nose was huge! Black and blue and red where all of the skin was taken off. I felt so bad it had to hurt like crazy. I had Kailee our family nurse come look at it for me and put ice on it to help the swelling. Today it looks not as bad as I thought it would I took some pictures of it. The pictures arn't great it is a little hard to see but you can see the swelling. I hope that it heals ok because no girl should have a bump on her nose.

4th of July Weekend in Pinetop

Our family went to Pinetop for the weekend to enjoy some friends who play in the Renegades and to have some fun family time. We watched the parade then went go cart racing on Saturday. That night we drove 45 min to Sunrise to watch the fireworks over the lake. We didn't expect it to be so cold (50 degrees) we were very unprepared. After 45 min of waiting, everyone was done so we packed up and left. We didn't get to see any fireworks but no one seemed to mind. Warmth took over wanting to see fireworks. We made it in time for my lil Ayden to dance with all the girls. He became quite the ladies man. He loved asking all of the older ladies to dance. I think they loved it as much as he did. Kadie also thought she was the center of attention. Dancing in the middle of the dance floor and shakin her tooshie. Everyone had an amazing time.

Ayden's semi truck made of legos

Ayden was so proud that he made this semi out of legos. If anyone knows him very well he has a love for semi trucks and so when he was done with this he could not wait to show me! He wanted me to take a picture of it and send it to his dad right away! I thought it was sweet.....he is going to be just like his dad!

Biggie the hampster

Gavin had a hampster named Hammy and well after much saddness trying to save him from dying he died and the whole family was sad. Gavin trained him to sit on his shoulder and he would walk around with him and he would never fall off or move he was the cutest thing and the cat and he had an amazing relationship. Our cat slick and hammy loved each other. normally a cat would try to eat a hampster but slick was deathly scared of him and after getting used to him they played and the few times hammy got out slick never ate him they just played like friends. Today we decided to get another hampster and so we went to the pet store. It is really funny how animals just love Gavin and all of the ones he has had they all have picked him out. We pulled our the hampsters that were short haired ones and he played with them for a minute and none of them really stood out. We then looked at the german and black bear hampsters and the only one that was left of the german hampsters crawled right into Gavin's hands. It was like that one was saying please take me home and he imediatly liked that one. It was the sweetest one and so he picked him. I don't know much about german hampsters but when we got it home I held it and oh my gosh! I'm not sure if its his balls or what it would be but they are huge. Me and the kids laughed about it for a while and Gavin said "I need to research that" I think he was a little disterbed. lol! Gavin decided to name him biggie. No, not because of his big balls or what ever it is but it is a little ironic. I now chuckle everytime I call him that name. So now we have a hampster again and I hope our luck is better with this one. For now everyone in the Bingham household is very happy campers.

Swimming

We went swimming and here are some of the fun pictures that I took. The one of kadie wearing my sunglasses is very sweet on my heart.

What to do when someone forgets to put on panties!

Well this evening I needed to go to Bashas and usually I only take Kadie because the boys HATE to go shopping (I think this is something boys are born with). Today though Gavin and Ayden decided they wanted to go with me. We all piled in the car and off to Bashas we go. As I pulled out Kadie when we got there I notice she has a little bare bottom, she has no panties on underneeth her skirt! I somehow missed this as I put her in the car. Quickly thought to myself, do I want to go home and get some and I think no way. I also don't want to have her stay in the cart with me because as any mom knows it is awsome when they are old enough to go into the play center and shopping in peace is AMAZING! Then I think I will just make one of the boys give her theirs. So I tell tell Gavin to quickly take off his underware and give them to me. After a quick "mom what will I wear" I say you have pants so you will be fine just give them to me. If anyone knows Gavin very well he has been my most modest son since he was very young. This is huge for him to give me his underware. I put his long underware on Kadie and off we go inside. As I am signing the kids in I think I should probably tell the lady why my daughter is wearing boys long underware (since they are sticking out from under her skirt). As I procede to tell her she starts to laugh so loud. I was a little startled and asked is that ok? She just keeps laughing and says ya its fine I have never had that happen in here before and I just feel bad for the son who had to give them up. Gavin wouldn't go in because his pants now wouldn't stay up so he said "mom I am going to walk around with you".Needless to say all ended up well for all. I got peace from a 2 year old and 6 year old, Gavin got a candy for giving up his underware (mom guilt) and Ayden didn't know any different.
