Aydens surgery

Ayden had surgery on the 16th of March to have his tonsils taken out. He was such a trooper and didn't even cry when he had to be taken back to the operating room without mom and dad. When he came out of surgery was a different story. By the time we were able to go back and see him our first sight of him was him screaming and flailing about at the nurses trying to hold him down. All he would say was that he couldn't breath and that he wanted to go outside. He must have felt scared especially when everything is swollen and hurting. He kept rubbing his nose and at first we thought there was something wrong with him but the nurse assured us that it is a side effect from the anesthesia. What we found interesting is about 15 min after Ayden came out another boy had just been wheeled out of surgery from having his tonsils removed doing all of the exact same things except it took 5 nurses to hold him down. After about 5000 Popsicles and lots of medicine hes jumping around and being himself. His demeanor is so different and he has a different voice its a little crazy we didn't expect his voice to change but we were hoping for him to be a little nicer and no so tired and cranky all day. This change is a nice one and he seems much happier and well rested every morning.

Sedona

While in Cottonwood we decided to go to Sedona and check it out since we havn't ever been. It was a nice trip we decided to go to a look out and then we grabbed some lunch and headed out for a park. It was a nice park with a streem that our kids wanted to get into. Way to cold and it was sprinkling off and on so we wouldn't let them. We walked the trail that was there while the kids gathered every walking stick available. We wern't able to see much of the town so we plan to go back and see more.

Out of Africa

During spring break we took the kids and headed to cottonwood to go to the Out Of Africa Zoo. We tried to meet Becky and Justin Cluff but the schedules didn't work out they ended up going a day before us. The kids loved feeding the giraffe Kimo and we spent a lot of time with the rhino (Boom Boom). He seemed to like Gavin's whistle and came to us when Gavin whistled at him. He was the coolest animal! His head weighed 1000 pounds :-0. We did not realize that until my good friend Becky Cluff told us (we must have missed the memo). He kept resting his head on things and we just thought it was funny and that he must have been tired. If i had a head that weighed that much i would rest it to. There tiger show was awesome for the kids they enjoyed watching them run around and jump in the pool. We all had a great time.
